- morning shift: shoveling rice husks then putting them in the chicken coops (that rice husk pile was HUGE and apparently just shared property!), cleaning, prepping lunch!
- also learned the different words for maintained vs unmaintained forest/bamboo on the morning drive
- ‘read’ books with shio a little
- afternoon shift: first time using a leafblower, other cleaning
- another town lady brought me back to Yさん’s house, and even she recognized me from the leaf blowing LOL
- was planning to go to public bath… and Yさん also suggested going! and he treated me again *big cry rip
- interesting culture convo afterwards on making people wait because i didn’t realize he waited for me rip
- (also feeling a bit better this morning, took meds last night, yay)

breafkast: milk tea, miso soup, toast + questionable butter + honey
Yさん dropped by to give me a morning strawberry 🙂 (wonder what time he wakes up rip he works a lot)
usually white strawberries i thought were not sweet esp w the big america ones, but interesting, the day we were in the greenhouse, Yさん said the white ones are more sweet… of the two i’ve had so far idk, but they are def delicious
this huge pile of rice husks….
so soft
right next to other farm/greenhouse + ofc mountains 🙂
their goats that kept trying to eat the chicken food, had to chase them out a couple times
Kさん like have you had yakisoba or okonomiyaki and i’m like yes i like it it is delicious and here we were
delish, still not super sure what the green powder is, but i think seaweed powder
found very strange plant while leafblowing/raking the road
just so strange, similar to the forest sausage but with ‘mini tomato’ like blobs on top kinda feels ick
heard of their pizza oven at the community space, finally noticed where it was. also has two eyes painted on the sides, looks a bit like a whale haha
“うちだよ” cute sign near their home
eggs from Kさん, the basket was full, but the rest i gave to Yさん’s family
Yさん says this is just half of what he picked today lord
mugicha + milk and cake 🙂 not quite as yum as the one L. got for cheap in hamamatsu but decent and glad there is cake
cake in a box hehe
the river running parallel to the town!! (on walk to public bath, walked past wwii memorials too that Yさん pointed out)
stir fried napa so classic so yum, ate it first because rice was just taking so long (also legit idk about my phone and this yellow table they do not get along)
test made breakfast pancakes so i can have the batter ready for tmr morning, not the greatest, but i don’t have all the ingredients for fluff so we do what we can
Yさん’s suggestion for easy fish, already panko covered, yum mackerel, added ponzu too 🙂
