- second work day at the fruit orchard
- discovered some new podcasts! very exciting, learned a lot and got to catch up with the news too!
- walked (ie. picked up poop while L. walked him) taro (the dog) again, wish this dog had more love ๐ฆ
- started coding again! felt good to pick it back up again
- thought too badly of host from the first day (granted first impression did not go so hot), he’s decent, just has his own ways and is v older asian man

homemade apple cake from host’s friend, with apple slices on top was real yum!! and green tea! ๐
big veg omelette again and fried rice, this time not too salty, also have i mentioned i love mushrooms and there are mushrooms both lunches so far bless
then he gave us cabbage with okonomiyaki sauce yay veg my stomach is happy~
dinner from his sister-in-law, the omelette yum, yum fish many bones, miso soup with many scallion and daikon yay, and that pork black pepper piman cabbage thing that tasted so chinese, like the black soybean? things in steamed fish we have idk it was so homey for me and SO good

LOOK AT FUJI
about listening to podcasts:
i tried to get into them in the past, but was probably not listening to the right thing or at the right time or on the right app etc but basically couldn’t really get into it
this time found more convenient way to listen and queue and also found some potentially interesting shows and it really works for me! especially while doing the work! idk what other contexts that would work (for me) to listen to podcasts afterwards but for now i’m very glad i can learn things + ‘catch up’ with what’s happening in the wider world while doing the work, so i feel doubly productive ๐
(for those who are interested, i found several podcasts but the one I listened to many episodes of and really liked today is, ‘Today, Explained’ by Vox!)
about fuji:
i get to see fuji on bike to/from work or even just walking around every day and it’s just incredible how massive fuji is; it towers over all the other mountains that are closer to us… tbh i lowkey thought fuji was a little overrated but now i see the appeal and why it/she? (i heard mountains are gendered and fuji is female? who knows?) inspires awe
