[DAY31] Zao in autumn is WILD beautiful

see dad!!! at kaminoyama onsen and zao. autumn colors up ropeway and also impromptu hike running on slopes, him in his business clothes lol
cook dinner
errands and catching up on blog…!

have seen zao many times in winter (childhood!) but this is the first time seeing the mountains in autumn… really so beautiful and something so special about seeing a place so important in my childhood in a different state 🙂 — (and also when i’m not super super cold so that i can appreciate it just a little more lol)

visited ryokan we have been to many times in zao, got these GREAT cookies and they also gave me some to take with me :’))) made in yamagata and choc and nuts and yum

gyudon (beef rice bowl) at top of chuo ropeway lunch with dad and good conversation! feel blessed that dad could and bothered to come up to visit (from tokyo)– thanks dad 🙂

excited to make dinner again!

cabbage + olive oil + salt because it was 50 yen (yeah, no joke) and i need veg

takoyaki because i have wanted takoyaki since tokyo and have not got it because i only found $$$ takoyaki places in tokyo and finally i just get the supermarket stuff which is also real good and does the job

veg stew thing of hondashi, soy, mirin, salt, pumpkin, daikon, onion, potato, carrot, soft good tofu, and probs other things that i don’t remember but it was warm and yum
