- Nikko National Park and temples in town, touristy but these mountains make it all worth it, also blessed with the weather (at least for the morning!!)
- kegon falls is a pure wow
- great yuba soba set
- hamburg cheesecake dinner and chips from konbini

lake chuzenji is just so
many temples!
mt nantai, i will come back to hike you one day inshallah
river very controlled with laid out rocks and other ways to diffuse water energy, v interesting looking at the mountains, rock layers, water systems control, etc (the geog side, ik ik)
kegon falls and that mist was UN.REAL. the floating fog, the feeling of mist gently on your skin, the power of water thrown off the cliff… just stood watching for a while. so beautiful.
finally ate yuba (aka tofu skin, like 腐皮), softer than the chinese version i’m used to. also the tamago-style semi sweetened fish ball like yuba spiral was real good. plus iwana (?), grilled lake fish. all so good and felt so clean. soba soup also so interesting.
snacks and such for the rest of the evening:
yuba katsu – deep fried yuba, not worth how much it was, but was interesting
hamburg – yes, again lol. the one from yesterday was better + more nuanced but this was solid! (though more $ rip)
cheesecake – had a yoghurty top layer so had a bit of tanginess then middle layer of standard cheesecake with graham crust, overall v light and delicately sweet yum.
konbini chips – because chips (was tough to find konbini at first, wondering if the fact that it’s a national park/world heritage sites etc?)
