[DAY26] oysters, pine, seawater, and art

Monday, Oct 21
  • Matsushima!! pretty bridges and the smell of pine, forest, and sea 🙂
  • OYSTERS (cries i love oysters so much)
  • this cargo container wooden box art gallery lol
  • took the wrong train oops
went looking for caffeine (aka some solid milk tea ideally), ended up getting brown sugar bubble milk without realizing there was no tea in it. let’s just say i was quite disappointed.
grilled oysters by street stall were REALLY good
lunch: fried oysters and gyutan (beef tongue) set. the addition of the beef tongue was an extra 800 yen, which turned out to be very small portion and not worth it (yum but not for that price)… but! the fried oysters were good. they were.

quick story: walked past this box, thought it was some abandoned cargo container, saw ‘art gallery atelier’ (ofc, artists ok), walked in, ended up having a mostly japanese convo with the gallery owner about his art and life, was a nice addition to the day!

after splurging on lunch (with little return), decided to go cheap on dinner– aka, bread, chips, bags of salad, soft boiled egg to add to the salad (ikr). finished off dinner with the apple amazake i got at hiraizumi, interesting, still has the texture of broken down rice grains + taste of apple.
