- walked through Hakodate: Asaichi Market, Kanemori Warehouses, Motomachi (looks like SF!!)
- spontaneously decided to hike Mt Hakodate because suddenly it wasn’t as cold as it was in the morning
- went back to Asaichi Market (‘Morning Market’) for dinner lol
me texting my Hakodate friend:
W.,
your hometown
is beautiful
forgot that i’m not huge on shopping somehow and thought i’d like downtown, and though it was interesting to see, my favs were def motomachi (the buildings! the view! the history, and the streets!) and 100% mt hakodate (can’t believe i almost didn’t go just because i thought it’s ‘just another view’ how did i forget that i love views?? and mountains, god, mountains)

huge crab so huge
many seafoods live and dried
pretty bridge near the very commercial warehouses

and the autumn foliage trees!!
that european influence as a historical port city
and the hills!!
like so beautiful wth

little markers? shrines? (sry for my ignorance) along the trail
view of the town from the top
leaves 🙂
hiking up mt hakodate was definitely worth it and not tough at all so pleasant, and the trees actually blocked the super chilly wind that was freezing me downtown
